After going to Westown, Badz and I felt like all of it still weren't enough to complete our summer. So, we planned where to go next. Both of us haven't been to Kawasan Faals yet, so that's where we are headed to - BADIAN! We tagged along other people so it would be more exciting :) Of almost 20 people we invited, only 4 confirmed. We were unhappy. Because, first of all, we already bought 8kg of pork for consumption and second, we thought it wouldn't be fun if there were only 6 of us.But hell yeah, we went on with the adventure!
April 12
6AM - We met at South Bus Terminal. (We went to 7/11 real quick, just across SBT.)
The bus left exactly 7am. I did not fell asleep in the bus even though I was from work. I enjoyed the view during the whole ride. It is actually my first time to go Southwest Cebu. Our last trip was at the Southeast - The one-day escape at ALCOY. The road to Badian was more relaxing, I should say. Although there were (a lot of) blind curves, it was more green - there were a lot of trees and beach views.
At about 10AM, we reached Badian and stopped at the street to Kawasan (there was a chapel across). It won't be a short walk, you need to walk over a kilometer to reach the falls. But as soon as you reach the chapel, there will be local guides that will offer help. Ours was Kuya Kingkong (that's what he call himself and we weren't able to get his real name). BUT IF YOU NEED HIS NUMBER, I HAVE IT! Just ask me :)
Moving on. Here we are on the long trek.
You would pass through these places.
Almost there guys!
So, after about the 30-minute walk, here we are. KAWASAN FALLS! (1st level)
The first level was more than crowded! All cottages are occupied! Ofcourse, we don't like putting our things just around the corner, so we decided to go up. Another session of trekking, now it was more challenging. We have to climb up to trails and stairs.
I think that took just about 10-15 minutes but it was more draining and more throat-drying than the kilometer-walk. But, look at this scene! Took away the tiredness, all left was excitement!
Getting to the second level, we didn't waste time, immediately got a cottage (we got this very first in the right), put our bags down, and prepared for lunch!
By the way, the second level has actually two parts.
This is the first one (at my back). 3 options for jumping here - the place where I'm standing at, the rock at the left and at the higher part of the left rock (not found in this pic)!
This is the second part of the second level.
A lot of activities are available here - water rafting, tarzan jumping, and just plainly jumping from the top of the rocks of your choice (LOL).
Grilling our pork nowww! All of us are hungry!
HACK BY BADZ. Since the water is cold, we put a string on the bodies of our bottled water and soda and let it sit on the water 'til we need it.
FOOD IS READY! We had lunch at 12Noon.
HAPPY CAMPERS! From left to right - MARCO (Badz' brother), CHRIJE (Marco's girl), KARL and PATPAT (both Badz' highschool barkada) and BADZ. Where am I? Taking the pic! LOL
Right after lunch, we hit the cold waters! So blue #nofilter
We tried all the activities and enjoyed each of them even if I almost died on the Tarzan jump. I almost hit my head on the big rock because the rope didn't really sway that much, I don't know how to make it sway much hahahah. But that's part of the trip!
We left at about 4PM.
Of course we wanted to stay. It's just that we are on for another adventure - BEACHINGGG and CAMPINGG! Yaaaayyy!
